AUCKLAND, Nov. IG. A great crowd assembled at the Opera House to-night to listen to a debate on the No-license question between the Rev. N. A. Davis, representing the New Zealand Alliance and Mr Dbcon Ward, representing the liquor trade. The ■usual arguments for and against Nolicense were stated in a friendly manner, the audience apparently being evenly divided on the points made by the speakers. The latter were heartily cheered by their supporters, there being also at times indications of dissent. At the conclusion, an attempt by one section to sing ".
