Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report .as follows :—At Palmerston on Thursday we had a very large yarding of cattle, and keen competition for every lot offered. All classes advanced in .piice, and nothing was turned out unsold. Sheep were in short supply, and "we sold every lot with the exception of a small line of shorn 2-tooth wethers. Quotations : Fat wethers 14s 9d, forward wethers 12s lOd, woolley hoggets 143 to 14s 6d, ewes and lambs 18i 8d to 233, fat bullocks JEB 15s, fat cows £6, £6 3s, £6 17s, Jight fat cows £4 5s to £4 15s, forward cows £2 10s to £"8 ss, store cows 30s to £2 Bs, 3yr bullocks £5, empty 2yr heifers £2 to £2 10s, yearling heifers 28s to 325, 18mos mixed cattle £2 3s to £2 7s, mixed yearlings 30s to 35a, 2yr steers £2 15s to £8, weaners 18s to 255.
