Absent Voters.

WELLINGTON, Tins day. Some doubt appears to exist as to whether absent voters have the right to vote on the licensing- question. Mr Mansfield,_ chief electoral oilicer for the colony, points out that Under section 7, sub-si'-otion g, of the Licensiug Act, 1595, an absent, voter will receive- a voting paper for the local option poll. His vote counts for the district for which he holds the voting permit.
