A General Strike Proclaimed.
The Reasons
(Received Nov. 16, at 7.30 a.m.) ST.' PETERSBURG. Nov. 15. The Council of Labour delegates Jias decided to proclaim a general strike throughout .Russia to-day (Wednesday). ■ ■-■::-
The reasons.given for the strike are: (1) The sentencing to death of a number of the ICronstadti mutineers; (2) the delay in the fulfilment of the Imperial manifestos granting civic liberty; (3) the proclamation of martial law in Poland and Lithuania; (<i) the disorders directed against the lower classes and the Jews ; (5) and many other arb.trary acts by the Government.
