THE PUREBRED CLYDESDALE ENTIRE, SIX RADCLIFFE. (Foaled 1897.) Middirigg—Blossom. To 'travel this season in Palmerston North, Rongotea, Kairanga and Fitzherbert districts. SIR RADCLIFFE is a beautiful light bay, -with black points, standing 16 hands. He is a tpyical Clydesdale sire, competent judges in both Islands having bestowed the highest eulogies upon his general conformation, which . marks him as the beau ideal of breeders — plenty of size and any amount of activity, while at the same tune most docile. Sir Radcliffe was bred by Mr W. Neill, of Canterbury, and is descended from the: bluest of Clydesdale blood. ■ Middirigg, the sire of Sir Radcliffe, i was by Pure Diamond (imp.) from Lady Banker, by Young Banker(imp.) from tho champion mare Marchioness, one of the greatest show ring horses^ ever foaled. Her total was thirty-four' firsts and specials in the best company Scotland ever produced. Middirigg was also a great prize ring horse, his record being eleven firsts and seven champion prizes, all taken in the best of company. He was owned by J. Boag, Esq. Sir Radcliffe has also been most successful in the show ring, securing first awardsatßangiora, North Canter--1 bury, and Nelson on several occasions. On his dam's side Patronus is equally well bred and can here also claim close relationship with two more Melbourne Cup winners.
