Potatoes scarce, worth from 12a 6d to 14s perewt, pig potatoes 6s to 7s per sack. Cauliflowers 4s to 8a per dozen, per sack 4s to 6s, swedes 3s per sack, wheat 15s per sack, barley 12s 6i per sack, pig meal 12s per sack, pollard 10s 6d per sack, onions scarce 3d per lb, rhubarb 6d to 9d per bundle, hams 7d to 7id per lb, bacon 6£d to 7d per lb. There is a . general scarcity in all lines of vegetables, orders coming from all partis of the district which cannot be supplied.
