We had again an abnormal eatry of poultry. Prices all round -were well maintained, mixed fcens beiag the only liaes which showed a falling off iv price. We quote--; Ducks, 4s to <5s (id, average price os Cd pair, turkey hens 4s •3d to 6s 6d each, gobblers 7s 6d to 9s 6d 'each, geese 3s to 3s 6d each, cockerels 4s ■Gd to 7s 6d per pair, jMaung hens and .pallets 4s to 5s 6d per pair, mixed sorts •o3 to 4s. Potatoes scarce, worth from 12a 6d to 14s perewt, pig potatoes 6s to 7s per sack. Cauliflowers 4s to 8a per dozen, per sack 4s to 6s, swedes 3s per sack, wheat 15s per sack, barley 12s 6i per sack, pig meal 12s per sack, pollard 10s 6d per sack, onions scarce 3d per lb, rhubarb 6d to 9d per bundle, hams 7d to 7id per lb, bacon 6£d to 7d per lb. There is a . general scarcity in all lines of vegetables, orders coming from all partis of the district which cannot be supplied.
