The state of parties is : Ministerialists 34, Labour 13. Mr Daglish is the only Independent candidate returned.
Bitter complaints are made of the incomplete. state of the rolls. It is alleged that 30,000 voters are disfranchised.
The Federal Labour Party is dismayed at the result.
