Methodist Church.

Harvest thanksgiving services were conducted at the Broad-street Methodist Church yesterday. There were large congregations both morning and evening. The church W»as nicely decorated for the occasion with fruit, vegetables and flowers. The Rev. H. Beggs conducted the morning service, taking for his text Genesis 8, verse 22: '' While the earth remainetb, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." In the evening Rev. J. J. Mather preached a very instructive sermon from- Matthew 6, verse 11: " Give ns this day our daily bread." Hymns and anthems suitable to .the occasion were sung by a very large choir, the solos being taken by Miss L. Short, and Messrs G. H. Bennett and A. Tregurtha.
