NAPIER, Morch 15 The Napier Park Sacing Club's astumn meeting commenced to-day. The weather was showery, but notwithstanding this there was a large atttndanee. The course was somewhat soft. Favourites won nearly every race. Tho bnm of £5350 was put through, the tote, an increase of £750 over the amount for the first day last jear. Eesultw :—

Welter Handicap—Bose Madder 1, Opiimut 2, Tyrone 3. Woo easily. No nme taken. Dive, £l 15s Bnd 19s.
