Manawatu A. and P. Association
(To tire Editor)
Sib, —Ec Mr Tucker's trophy. It was I who asked the question why the trophy was not mentioned in the programme. I may say that no one questioned the bona fides of the winner, nor Mr Tucker's right to give the trophy to whatever he thought fit. I do think, Sir, that the fact of the trophy not bsing mentioned in the programme put the winner in a false position, as he was the only one who could have known that such a trophy was in existence, as the other exhibitors had no means of knowing anything about it. I am sure Mr Tucker would like his trophy well competed for, therefore I think it would be a graceful act on the part of our President if he would hand the trophy back to the Association, to be competed for by the same classes next year, as he says he only shows for the sport and not for the value of the prizes he wins.—l am, etc., H. Bryant.
