At the tallow auctions 1241 casks were offered and 394 sold; fine, mutton, 28s 9d; medium, 25s 6d; fine beef, 27s 3d; medium, 255; stock, 7998 casks; imports 5476; deliveries, 6356. To-day's quotations are: Canterbury mutton, 4£d; Napier, Wellington and North Island, 3Jd; lamb, first quality, 5. d; second, sgd. Beef—Hinds, 3d; fores, 2£d.
