The Black Family.
The talented Black Family commence a season at the Lyceum Theatre this evenrng. The Blacks have been favoured with splendid audiences everywhere m New Zealand, and always there has been a keen demand for more, even mbackblocks where one might be excused for thinking a decent'house could not be got together. The secretisthat the' .Blacks have something very good to offer, they give to everyone of their best, and their best is very good of its kindthere is nothing better in the country.' It. has to be remembered, too,'that the clas3 of entertainment given by the, Black Family, while musical and artis- | tic in the highest sense of the term, is popular and appeals to all tastes. Every member of the company is a thorough artist, and at least one has positive genius. :
