DUNEDIN, Oct. 26. At the meeting of the Baptist Union to-day, the election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Itev. J. J. North; Vice-President, Mr A. S. Adams; Secretary, Eev. J. S. Gray; Treasurer, Mr A. Chidgey; Baptist Editor, Eev. F. W. Bortham; Editor of the Almanac, Key. D. G. Mason; Financial Secretary, Mr D. Peters. The Baptist Union decided to launch a scheme for providing a manse for each minister, and inaugurating, a manse fund raised by direct gifts and loans on non-interest bearing debentures for fixed periods. A fund of at least £5000 is to be aimed at.
