OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDEE. nHHAT in pursuance and exercise -f-of the powers vested m it in that behalf by "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901," the Oroua County Council, hereby resolves as follows:— That for the purpose of providing ; the interest at 4 per cent, per annum and other charges on a Loan of £5450 authorised to be raised by the Oroua County Council under the above mentioned Act for the purpose of providing for the construction of works Bet forth in the proposal giving notice of the intention to raise such loan advertised in the Manawait; Standaed on the 19th and 26th August and 2nd and 9th September, 1904, the said Oroua County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Bate of fiine-tbirty-secoudß of a penny in the £ uponthe rateable value of all rateable properties comprising the whole of the Hiwinui and Otangaki Ridings in the Oioua County, excepting thereout the following properties which are paying a special rate for the Valley Koad Diversion, and the whole of the properties on the eastern side of the Pohangina and Manawatu Rivers : — Section 52, part section 58 (266 acres 2 roods 12 perches), part section 54 (91 acres), block .XII., Oroua Survey District ; sections 14, 18, 12, 11, 10, block XVI., Oroua Survey District; sections 9, 8, 7, 18, 17, 16, 15, part Manchester Block, subdivision X, block XII.-, Pohangina Survey District ; sections 13, 14, part Manchester Block, subdivision L, block XIII., Pohangina Survey District; subdivision D, 11, 111., Gorge Survey District, sections 49, 50, Motuere Native Beserve; Manchester Z sections 1 to 24, 26 to 34, 43 to 47, block 111., Gorge Survey District, to be called "No. 21 Special Eating District" And that such epeoial rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, to be payable nt the Council's Office, Feilding, half-yearly, on the first days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 41 years, or until i the loan is fully paid off. It is hereby further notified that a Special Meeting of the Council will be held in the Council's Office, Feilding, on the 11th day of November, 1904, to confirm the above resolution. is hereby given that it is the _ intention of the Manawatu Land Drainage Board to borrow the sum of £5500 under the "Local Bodies Loan Act, 1901,", and its amendments, for a period of 26 years, at 5 per cent., for the purpose of widening and deepening the outlet for the Mangaone Stream at | Awapum, reconstructing bridge across same, obtaining the necessary land required, and also to widen, deepen, divert, straighton and erect stop banks in, to, or about all such portions of the Mangaone Stream between the Awapuni outlet and Roberts' Line as may hi necessary to provide for an , equal carrying capacity f or the stream throughout, with protection to the adjacent lands from overflow. To alter or lengthen existing road bridges on the Bangitikei and Milson's roads, and to do all such other works and acts as shall be necessary for the full carrying oat of the above mentioned objects And that the aecurity for such loan be a special rate on a graduated scale of one-tenth of a penny i n t he pound on land classified as No. I, one-eleventh of a penny in the pound on land classified as No. 2. and one-twelfth of a penny in the pound or. land classified as No 3 Cost of raising loan to be paid out of loan.
