DUNEDIN, July 17. , The football match' New South' Wales v. Otago was playdd on the Caledonian Ground yesterday, in, iiho presence of about three thousaind spectators, who were aroused to enthusiasm by the excellent play. The game ended, in a win ior Otago J~y 4 goals to 9.
The Senior Keps Mr Foote has solected the following team to represent Manawatu against Dannevirke, at Palinerstom, on Wednesday :—Pull-back, G. McMinn; three-quarters, I\ Hewitt, Scott, Baker ; five-eighth, Stalker ; half, Skelley ; .forwards, Hepburn and Stewart (wings), Horgan, Alex. McMinn, ■YVingate, Whisker, Sweeney, Smith, Arch. McMinn.
