Referring' to their visit to Dannevirke an exchange says :—The children from" the Orphan Home in Wellington attracted a . large and very appreciative audience to the barracks last night. These little waifs are educated at"the Home in Wellington, and the advantages of this institution could not be better exemplified than in the neat and pleasing appearance of these young girls. Besides the ordinary school syllabus the children are taught domestic and ambulance work. A varied programme of character duets, solos, and action songs was nicely rendered. " "Sobody's Child," sung with intense pathos, by Lily, appealed to the audience. Other songs, such as ".Mother, is an ange." and " __cthsemane "' were well received.
