Chuistchcrch, March 1. Tho general secrotary of the New Zcai&nd Agricultural Ooofereace has addressed a circular to all Agricultural aud Pastoral Associ-.tions in the colony with reference to a conference to b'a held in Auckland in May. The coa>rnittfra of the Auckland Association has written extending a hearty welcome to all delegates, and aciding that should Auckland be considered too distant for southern members, rather than abandon tbo conference it might be held ir Wellington a? being more central, but that it ba held at the sums time as the colonial conference of iho Ue.w Zealand Farmers' Union—some t'me in June. Tt 14, however, the opinion of some that as various hrancnes of the Farmers' Onion throughout the colony ara now doing much of the work inaugurated by Agricultural atd Pastoral Association?, further action oa their part is unnecessary. At the siine time, the circular continufs, it may fairly be urged that there ivre matt-em connected spedally with Agricultural and Pastoral Societies which can undoubtedly be beat dealt with by mot) who have for years been connected with them.
