Miss Williamson's dramatisation of Wilkin Collins' novel " Tho New Magdalene " was produced to a large audienoe, which had nothing but superlatives with whioh to describe the work of this talented company. Mr Alfred Woods took the role of tho "Rev. Julian Grey," a character which suited him. to perfection acd he was frequently applauded for his fine acting. Miss Williamson appeared as "Mercy Merrick," the new Magdalene. The principals were supported by Mr Ben Linden as " Horace Holmcroft," a war correspondent, Mrs Barry Lane us " Lady Jaunt Roy," Julian Grey's aunt, and Miss May Carleon, as " Grace Roseberry," an English lady.
