Tbial Hurdles, of 100 soys [ second horse to receive 20 soys and the third horse 10 soys from the stakes. Over six flights of hurdles, 3ft 6in high; weight lOst, winner of any flat race to carry lOst 101b. Open to horses that have never won a hurdle race or steeplechase at time of starting, and have never started m other than hack or hunter races. Entrance, 2 soys. One and a half miles. To start at 12 noon. 2. Flying Handicap, of 105 soys; second horse to receive 20 soys and the third horse 10 soys from the stakes. Nomination, 1 soy; acceptance. 2 soys. Six furlongs. To start at 12.45 p.m 3. The Ashhukst Guineas, of 100 guineas; second horse to receive 20 guineas, and the third horse 10 guineas from the stakes. For present 3-year-olds that are not nominated for other than hack races at time of entry, and have not won a race of over 40 soys at the time of starting, hack and hunter races excepted. Colts, Bst 101b; fillies and geldings, Bst 51b. The winner of any race to carry a penalty of 71b, two or more races 101b. Acceptance 21s on night of general entry, 1903. Closed, with 42 nominations. Minimum weight, Bst 10 lb. Nomination 1 soy; acceptance, 2 soys. One mile. To start at 4 pm 7. Madden "Scurry, of 100 soys; second horse to receive 20 soys, and the third horse 10 soys from the stakes. For 3-year-olds and upwards that have never won a race at time of starting, and have never started in other than hack or hunter races. Weight, 9st. Entrance, 3t2 10s. Five furlongs. To start at 4.45 pm 8. Pohangina Handicap, of 120 soys; second horse to receive 30 soys, and thira horse 15 soys. from the stakes. Nomination, 30s; acceptance, 2 soys. One mile and a distance. To start at 5.30 pm • Penalties. The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry penalty of 101b, and of every additional race a further penalty of 61b in flat races. Horses handicapped at Bst 101b or over to carry only half of the above penalties. Owners are responsible for penalties. Definition of a Hack. Hack means a horse that has not, at time of nomination, won a race of the value of 80 soys or over or races of the collective value of 200 soys since August Ist, 1899. Nominations, Weights and Acceptances. Nominations for all races, and entries for the Trial Hurdles, and Maiden .Scurry,' also Guineas' payments close with the Secretary,, Ashhurst, on Thursday, December ijra, at 9 p.m. Handicaps will be declared on or about December 14th Acceptances close on Thursday, December 17th. at 9 p.m. Telegraph Office closes at 5 p.m. The necessary fee must accompany each entry and the names of horses must.be registered with the Racing Conference Ashhurst Guineas, 1904. The second payment of 10s 6d, due night of general entry, Thursday, December 3rd,1903. ' . ■ : ASHHUEST HACK GUINEAS, 1905. Nominations will be received on or before Monday, 25th January, 1904, for the Ashhurst Hack Guineas, 1905, of 100 guineas, second horse to receive 20 guineas, and the third horse 10 guineas from the stakes. For the present yearlings that are not nominated for other than hack races at time of entry, and have not won a race of over 40 soys at time of starting, hack and hunter races excepted.
