To start at 12.45 p.m 3. The Ashhurst Guineas, of 100 guineas; second horse to receive 20 guineas, and the third horse 10 guineas from the stakes. For present 3-year-olds that are not nominated for other than hack races at time of entry, and have not won a race of over 40 soys. at the time of starting, hack and hunter races excepted. To start at 4.45 pm 8. Pohangina Handicap, of 120 soys; second horse to receive 30 soys, and third horse 15 soys from the stakes. Nomination, 30s; acceptance, 2 soys. One mile and a distance. To start at 5.30 pm Penalties. The winner of any flat race after declaration of weights to carry penalty of 101b, and of every additional race a further penalty of 610 in flat races. Horses handicapped at Sst 101b or over to carry only half of the above penalties. Owners are responsible for penalties. Definition of a Hack. Hack means a horse that has not, at time of nomination, won a race of the value of 80 soys or over or races of the collective value of 200 soys since August Ist, 1899. Nominations, Weights and Acceptances. Nominations for all races, and entries for the Trial Hurdles, and Maiden Scnrry, also Guineas' payments close with the Secretary, Ashhurst, on Thursday, December 3ra, at 9 p.m. Handicaps will be declared on or about December 14th • Acceptances close on Thursday, December 17th. at 9 p.m. Telegraph Office closes at 5 p.m. The necessary fee must accompany each entry and the names of horses must be registered with the Racing Conference Ashhurst Guineas, 1904. The second payment of 10s Gd, due night of general entry, Thursday, December 3rd, 1903. ASHHtmsT hack guineas, 1905. Nominations will be received on or before Monday, 25th January, 1904, for the Ashhurst Hack Guineas, 1905, of 100 guineas, second horse to receive2oguineas, and the third horse 10 guineas from the stakes.
