Mr W. Rose reports :— During the for'night stock sales have been held at Woodville. Weber, Ormondville and Dannevirke, and clearing saies at Dannevirke and Norsewood.

I quote as follows :— "Woodville.—Springing heifers, £5 5s to £5 13s ; store cows, £3 10s to £4; 18----mos beifers, £3 15s; yearling to 15-mos steers and beifers, £2 10s to £2 15s ; weaners, 30s.

Ormondville.—Dairy cows, from £5 10s to £6 10s ; dairy heifers, £5 ; store cows, £3 5s to £3 15s; yearlings, 40s to 45 s.

Weber.—Cows in calr, £5 ss; 2.J yr steers, £4 15s; 2-yr empty heifers, £4,, yearlings, £2 Bs. Danneyirke Horse Sale — Heavy draughts, £46 105, £49 and £50; medium draughts aud tram horses, £25 10s. £28, £80, £31 and £35; trap horses, £10 to £14; hacks. £6 to £12.

Dannevirke Stock Sale.—Cattle : Dairy coivs, 17 to £9 2s 6d ; springing heifers, £5 os to £6; 2-yr heifers, £4 ss; 18-mos do, £3 os to £3 lls; yearling do, £2 16s; 3-yr steers, £5 6<; 2^-yr do, £<X los ; 2-yr do, £4; 18-mos do, £3 12s; 15-mos do, £2165; yearling do, £2 lls ; weaners, 30s. Sheep : Ewes and lambs, 19s 6d ; 2-th wethers. 9s to 10s. Pigs • Weaners, 15s 6d.

The clearing sales were well attended and successful.
