The development of-; the natural resources of the district,' of which Shannon will be the natural'centre, must increase the values of' property; offered by auction ! fully 100 per cent in less than two years, and any one buying will thus find piit.it was one of the best invest-. ment's on his part at. the present time. The proposal to utilise the Tokbmaru Water Falls for, the purpose of producing electric. motive power for driving machinery would be a great incentive to start other industries in the district and town of Shannon. The forming of a River Board to deal with the overflow water of-the Manawatu River, which will affect about 75.000 acres of some of the best Flax and Grazing Land in the colony, will all'help to increase the value of properties by the employment of labour at remunerative rates.
