Messrs Johnston and Sim, agents for Murray Roberts and Co., report:— London, 2nd December, 1903—The sales have closed. Compared with the closing rates of the September sales long staple superior merino shows no change, other descriptions of; merino have declined 5 to 1\ per cent., inferior scoured showing the greatest decline. Fine crossbred shows no material change, medium crossbred declined 10 per cent, and coarse crossbred declined 10 to 15 per cent. 5000 bales held over. Local sales, Wellington, 3rd December, 1903—Sheepskins, merino, market declined -Jd to -id per lb.;, sheepskins; fane crossbred, market declined id per ib.; medium to coarse crossbred sheepskins decline half-penny to five-eiglits of a pen::y per lb.
