Over-Profluction in America

Mr Brailsford states that one of the Ebbw Vales .mills, employing 750 hands, and which has 'been worked for 100 sTears,5 Tears, has been closed owing to "-dumping."
The Monmouthshire Steel and Thi-nlate Company, at Pontymistor, employing 800 to 1000 hands, notifies its intention to close for the same reason.
Sir Grant Duff, in a letter to a corresponde,'nt, regards Mr Chamberlain's proposals <as the beginning of very great calamities. Even Mr Balfour's milder policy is very dangerous.
Mr Bill, British commercial agent in America, warns British traders that there is every indication of an enormous over-produc-tion in America, whose exports to British possessions are increasing in a greater proportion than British. American exports to South Africa have increased by 56 per cent, since 1901.
