Ashhurst-Pohangina Club.

The Ashhurst-Pohangina Club has* also fared well at the hands of owners and trainers, who have at all times supported the Club in a most cordial and practical style. Without exception the races have all filled well, the Ashhurst Cub being the weakest, but the shortness there is fully compensated by the number in the remaining . races, the Guineas, perhaps the principal event of the day, having eleyen nominations. Twenty - three second payments have been made for the 1904 Guineas, and- the quality *.' of the horses engaged is distmctlj on the up grade. Local owners represented m the classic event are Messrs Collins (two nominations) and D. Buick. Nominations for the Ashhurst races also appear on page 7.
