Lovors ot high class vaudeville will be ploasod to learn that arraugnments have boon complotad for the appearance of Mr Harry Riokards' Dew star company of English, American and Continental vaudeville artists in Palmerston North. This fioo organisation was specially sent to the'colony to play seasons in tho four centres only, as, owing to the list of high salaried artists, it was considered impossible to tnako a tour of the provincial towns pay. Business has been so phenomenal, however, that the management have .deeidod to play a few of the larger iolaijd towns en route "to Sydney via Auckland,' and ptjliflerston - |'a tg be visited on Saturday next, when the company are to appear for one night only in the Theatre Royal. Mr Rickards' namo has never been associated with an mdd fferent attraction, and he refers with pride to the present organisation as the fruits ef bis long practical ejporienca in selecting artists in England, America,, and the Continent, whose great entertaining giftß are specially suited to the taste of the colonial theatregoers. This company includes such gres^t artistes aa the <| agksqni family, a unique musical quartette of two ladies and two gentlemen, whose performance is'desoribed as being the finest ever heard south of the line. Also, Derinda god Bresn, the great comic club jugglers in a marvellous exhibition of club swinging, on act, which has caused an immense sensa'ion in this qojony. Mr J. W. Winton, the world's greatest ventriloquist! with bis automatic figures, including the irrepressible " McGinty," will make bis first appearance here, as will also Miss Nova Carrglynn, a cbariiiing operatic contralto, and the sisters Cfarpnep, a, plover pair of Berio an 4 dancers.' A'npl4 favorite in the person of Miss Jennie Opie will malfo her re appear^noe, hor songs having the additional adaption of each being beautifully illustrated, Mr Rickards' latest American importation, the perfected bioscope, will also show an entirely new scries of animated pictures. The box plan for tho only performance in Palmerston will be opened at Park's on Wednesday morning.
