Christchdrch, September 18. At a meeting of cbe New Zealand Cricket Council to-night, matters in connection with the visit of Lord Hawko's team were considered. Tba action oi the Auckland Association in withdrawing its guarantee towards the expenses of the tour was brought up, and a motion carried regretting the attituda " taken up.
It was resolved that if tho Association persisted in its action, the Council's only course would be to arrange other matches to make up the amount of guarantee.
