The Committee ~ot the above met last evening. Present—fiev O. 0. Harper (chairman), Messrs Hirscb, Barnicoat and Palmer. Apologies weie'reeeived from Messrs Scott and Rutherfurd. ■"•
The rector reported that the number at present on the roll was 113, and that the highest average attendance recorded was 100-7. .
The Education Board wrote stating In regard to the Oommittee'a request thai the children pausing Standard VI at the recent examinations be not admitted to the High School until better accommodation was provided hae beenaeoeded to. It was resolved to grant permission to a resident to use the High School reserve for grazing, arrangement* to be left to chairman and secretary. ;:' Mr Vernon supplemented his report! with the remark that ho bad been agreeably surprised on taking ever the High] School at the arrangement made by the late Rector, Mr Gray. The most had1 been made of the building, and the school was in the best working order. Both the staff and pupils went working well together, and he hoped Each a state of things would continue,
