Cricketers, footballers, and the general public are strongly opposid to the idea, condeiue.ia g the suggestion from every standpoint. At last night's meeting of the Borough Council the reporl- wus referred back to the committee, and the Council was included in the committee, which will again examine the park with v view to bring up a report more in accordance with popular feeling, and fix a site where the rotunda will not inteifere with the athletic sports. Tho park oval is recognised as one of tho best football grounds in the colony.
