Mr E K. Beckett reports as follow.-,: —I held a successful sal* at Hunterrille on Thursday. Cattle came forward in full numbers, and .old briskly. Puts, iiowevrr, in most etises failed to reach render's idea of value, butchers dec] in,ng to operato, aid contenting themselves with a band to mouth supply. £10 12s _d was offered for one fat cow, but declined. I had only a few pens of sheep which brought good prices. 1 quote — Fat cows (light), £5 10s; 2_yr steers, £4 19s to io 15s ; IHmo steers, £3 2s to £*3 12s fld ; l_mo steers, £2 5s to £2 10s; mixed weaners, £1 7s to £1 12s (i-i ; cows in calf, £3 5s ; dairy cows, £1- 15s to £5 10s; heifers in calf, £3 15s Cd to JCU 10_. Sheep.—Wethers, lis lOd; woolly hoggets, 10i. I also sold, on behalf of the Public Tru.tee, in the estate of the late Mrs Cameron, 8-10 acres, at £i ISs tki per acre, to Messrs Cameron Bros ; and on account of Mr Cunningham the goodwill of 100 acres for £100.
