A quarterly nißoting of the Manawatu Mounted Eifles wis hold on Saturday evening at the Phoenix Hotol, Liout. Pringle presiding. It was decided to hold the aDnual dance on August 20th, in tho Lyceum Theatre, and a strong committee was appointed to mako arrangements. The prieo of tickets wn3 set down at 10s. Surgeon-Captain Graham then dolivered a lectnro on " First Aid," and stated his intention to continue tho serioa weekly. 16 was resolved to hold a non-com-missioned officers' clas3 weokly on Thursday ovoninga at tho Stock Department's offices, when Sergeant-Major Dodd will prepare the men for their approaching examination. The noxt parade of tho corps will be held on Saturday.
