Section 277 of the A roluntecr regulations slates that Volunteers who {have served efficiently in the Volunteer force for twenty years, or who have served continuously for sixteen years in the Volunteer force, are entitled to a long service medal. :is also are officers and noncommissioned officers of the permanent staff and officers on the Honorary Unattached List who had the above service before being transferred to that list. Section '27(1 also makes provision for Colonial oiiieers getting the Imperial Volunteer officers' decoration, consisting of an oak wreath in silver tied with gold, having in JtUc centre, the Royal cipher and Crown in gold, on somewhat similar conditions. It is also provided that active service shall count double time.]
