Freeman E". Jackson & Co. report: At Waverley last Friday we had a good yarding of useful cattle, and bidding was fairly brisk, though several pens were passed at auction. They were disposed of afterwards, if anything in buyers' favour. At Wanganui our yards were well tilled, and on the whole have to report a successful sale, though prices were low, and buyers were prepared to do business. A line of 3500 mixed 2,tooth found purchasers from 6s to 6s 3d. Other classes of sheep m proportion. Several pens of cattle came forward, and all sold. Pigs i sold well, and in good demand. We quote :—

Cattle at Waverley: Fat cows (good), £5 Is to £ 5 4s 6d; forward sows, £4 5s to £410s; cows in calf. £3 18s 6d to £4; 15-months handfed heifers, £2 Ks'to £2 15s; 2 to 2* year steers (good), £8 17s to £4 10s,; 3-year steers, ,££ 18s 6d to £5 Is; mixed 15-months to 2 years, £2 17s 6d; yearlings, 35s to £2 Is! Cattle at Wanganui: Prime fat cows, £5 10s to £5 18s; forward cows, £ 3 10s; cows in calf, £3 7s : 15 months to 2-yeav steers, £3 6s; 12 to 15-months steers, £2 5s to £2 8s; 3-year steers, £5 3s; yearlings, 35s 6d to £2 2s; bulls, £410s to J7. Sheep at Waverley: Fat and forward shorn wethers, 9s 7d ; ewes in wool, 70 per cent, lambs, 7s 9d. Sheep at Wanganui: Shorn 2tooth wethers, 6s to 6s 3d; shorn ewes, '6s; fat and forward wethers (shorn), 9s 3d; forward ewes (shorn), ss: woolly ewes, 2, 4, 6, and full, with 116 per cont. lambs, 9s 9d to 10s.

■Pigs: Baconers, 32s to 37s ; good porkers, 24s to 295; others 15s to 18s.
