Show are not available yet, sufliciwit are 'forthcoming to show that the fixture of 1901, given fine weather will totally eclipse all previous displays.' In cattle 21tt eutries have been received,, comprising 6a Ayrshire?, 35 Jerseys', 2<i Herefords, dairy cattle 40, fat cattle 20.: 'The shorthorn entries are not yet complete. There are 291 entries in sheep .comprising i Southdowus 52, Shrorsnires 34, Eomneys 65; English and Border Leicesters 67. Liucolns are not yet available but will be represented by Messrs . Wilkie, B. Brcmer, W. Gadsby, B._ and W. llaynor and several otliers. Other-classes iuclude—Pigs 70, poultry 274, dogs 90. In - horses not including competitions, 300 entries have been received. -There will ho. an- unrivalled display of draughts, 74 entries having been received, animals being entered from Napier'and all the West Coast up to New Plymouth, and the same remarks apply-to cattle, The .entries for the various horse competitions aggregate another 90, while 18 entries havo been received in tho wood chopping competitions. : Produce, including farming and factory exhibits, are not yet made up, but the total entries exceed those of last year.
