VICTORIA CROSS.
[By Electno Telegraph—Copyright.] (Per Press Association.) London, July 29. Privates E. Scott and J. Pitt, of- the Manchester Ttegiment, have been awarded the Victoria Cross for holding a sangar (stone breastwork) and fighting foodless and waterless at Ceesar's Camp, south of Ladysmith. during the general assault on the British defences by the Boers on 6th January, 1900'!
