At the Town Hall demonstration the Premier announced that; after providing £114,000 for the cost of .the Federal celebration and other extra expenditure, the revenue of the State would cover tha expenditure proper of the year. Melboubne, June 12. In the House-the Supply Bill passed all stages without further amendments. The Post and Telegraph Bill, introduced during the debate, chiefly dealt with the questions of sweeps, against which the Bill proposes to close the Post Office.
