PROCLAIMING THE KING IN LONDON. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. (Per Press Association) Receired January 29, at 9,7 a.m. London, January 25. The Deputy-Garter King of the College Arms read the proclamation from tlie balcony'of the Palace. Lord Roberts and the officers of State were'present. A fanfare of trumpets was sounded, aud the National Anthem was played by the band, of Foot Guards amidst great cheering. A red cordon, placed across the Strand, symbolised Temple Bar, which no longer exists. Here the Lord Mayor and corporation awaited the Duke of Norfolk, Earl Marshal, accompanied by the Heralds and pursuivants. The junior pursuivants having obtained permission to enter the city, the stately procession proceeded, the ciric dignitaries joining in at the end.

At Chancery Lane tlie tntarpeters blew a fanfare and a Herald in rich tabard read the proclamation, and the ' crowds cheered. The procession pro- j cceded to the steps of the Eoyal Exchange, where another fanfaro was blown, and the proclamation was read. An immense concourse of stockbrokers and city men cheered the King from the balcony of the Mansion House. The Lord Mayor invited the crowd to sing the National Anthem, which met with an immediate response, and was followed with tumultuous cheers. The Mayor supplied refreshments to the Heralds and officials of the College of Arms. A Royal salute of 101 guns was fired at Aldershot. ■ ~ ■ "The warships were dressed with bunting, and Royal salutes were fired in many places. The King was- also proclaimed at Winchester, Dublin and other cities. The judges and King's Counsel hare been re-sworn. Received January 29, at 10.53 a.m. • London, January 25. The Ministry hare sworn allegiance to the King. Received January 29, at 9.27 a.m. London, January 25.

A proclamation has been issued requiring that the authorities and Governments proceed with the execution of their respective offices. It also substitutes for the word "plantations" "any foreign possessions" or " colonies " or "Empire of India" and "King and Council" is altered. In the prayer books the prayer for the Iloyal Family is to be altered by substituting for the name "Albert Edward" the following words: " Our Gracious Queen Alexandra, George, Duke of Cornwall and York, and the Duchess of Cornwall and York." Received January 29, at 9.26 p.m. Sydney, January 25. The King was proclaimed yesterday in the various states of the Commonwealth. '
