Melbourne, January 28. A movement is on foot to erect a group of-statuary to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria, on lines similar to that to be erected at Lahore, India. It is suggested that the monument should represent the Qneen seated in a canopied chair, with figures by her side representative of Britannia and Australia. Already several large subscriptions have been offered.
