JACKEYTOWN

In the Jackeytown schoolroom yesterday evening Mr E. Swinerd, the wellknown evangelist, preached an appropriate sermon in tribute to the memory of our late Queen. Taking as his dual text, psalms 116, verse 15, and Revelations 14, verse 13, and traversing with considerable force and pathos the salient features of the Queen's character as woman, Queen and Christian, the speaker closed with an impressive peroration on the applioability of the text to a life that was so noble, pure and righteous as that of the revered Queen Victoria.
