At a meeting of tho Jubilee Commemoration Executive Committee it was stated that the intention was to have 150 Maori men and 100 Maori women to perform liakas and poi dances at Lancaster Park. The company has offered a site for an encampment of Maoris. An exhibition choir consisting of 250 voices, witli a full orchestra of about sixty instruments, has been formed in connection with the proceedings at the opening day of the oxhibition. The music for the afternoon of tho opening day will be the National Anthem (Costa's arrangement), Mackenzie's " Britannia Overture," and an ode specially written for the occasion by Mr O. Alpers, the music being composed by Mr Maughan Barnett. In the evening Mendelssohn's "Hymn of Praise" will be performed. For Jubilee Day the music is being selected by Sir H. Hubert Parry, in London, and will shortly arrive.
