Auckland, September 1. At tho Supreme Court Frederick Eyre, late Steward of the Working Men's Club, ploaded guilty to stealing £52 odd, the property oE the club. On account of previous good character he was admitted to probation, and ordered to find the amount of his defalcations, together with fourteen guineas expenses, within six months.

September 2. - The prohibition lecturer Richardson, who wont to prison on Wednesday last rather than pay a fine imposod by tho Court for broach of the Electoral Act, lias been released. His friends in spite of his requests to the contrary, found the amount of the fine and costs.
