Lord Eoberts believes that' ConiI rnandant Do Wet, having buried the majority of his guns, has crossed the i Magliesberg hills towards the Free State with only 3000 followers. Commandant Stsyn, with a small bodygtiarel, is trying to reach Machadadorp. . Lieut.-General Baden-Powell fought Commandant Grobeloar's rearguard at Haunan's Kraal throughout .Tuesday, driving them eastward to Pinaar's Biver. During the fight Liout.-General Baden-Powell's and the enemy's rearguard galloped into each other. The Ehodesian force engaged had five killed, including Colonel Spreycloy, and seven wounded. The Boers suffered heavily. Colonel Plurncr and General Hickman are pursuing the enemy towards the Plat Biver.
