Bankruptcy.
A special meeting of the crediffclra!!^ the estate of A. ■'E. Sehultz was fatfjfca't* the office of the 8.0.A. yesterday -after noon. Eighteen creditors were present or repr3S9nted, and the D.O.A. (Mr G. J. I5oott) occupied the chair. The debtor, through his solicitor, Mr •T. P. Inneg, offered a composition of 5s ! in the £ on all proved accepted claims, payable in cash upon approval by the Court in terms of section 118, aud to\- I lowing sections of the Bankruptcy Act, 1892. Mr J. P. lane?, a3 proxy for Ward & Co., proposed, and as proxy for Louisson he seconded a motion, " That the offer of 5s in the £ bs accepted." As an amendmenr, Mr Dempsey proposed, and Mr Hirsoh, as proxy for Gattsche & Co., seconded, " That Ihe bankruptcy proceedings be continued." On the amendment being put to the meeting, if; was declared lost, the voti g being:—Ayes, Messrs Dempsey and Hirsch; representing £31 3s 8d ; Noes, all ths other creditors in the room, representing £268 15s 3d. The meeting was then adjourned until Saturday, June 2nd, at noon, to confirm or otherwise the above resolution.
