BOER INHUMANITY.
A few incidents of the day are worth relating (writes a corresDondent after* the surrender of Bloemfontein) At O3fontein, in the back of a garden of a small white farmhouse, a poor old Dutch woman, near eighty, was found in a most neglected state, deserted and starving. The Tommies wbo had come there in search of water, gave to her out of their own little store, and finding some comrades who possessed some flour, brought it back to her. This is the second case of absolute abandonment that has been authenticated. The hoots Guards found a woman and family of small children in a lonely house out on the veld ; they were brouj.hii into camp and cared for. Lhese are but evidences of the blight of war' But they do not reflect well on the way it has been conducted from the ■Boej: standpoint.
