The sections comprised m the Schedule are situated at Pabialua, m tbe Mangaone Block, m the Kopuarangii District, about Dreyer's Rock, near Dreyerlon, and front upon or a> c adjacent to tbe main road connecting Mastei ton and Woodville. Bra neb roads have been formed through the sections at D-eyer's Rock, CeoJ.ral Mangaone, Haweva, and Pahiatua, at distances respectively Ivom MasierioQ of about fourteen miles, thi'-ty-one mi'eß, thirty five miles, and forty miles. The Mangahao sections are within fourteen miles of the Town of Woodville. Tbe Main Trunk Railway from Wellington to Napier is now being constructed to a point about seventeen miles north of Mastertou. Sites for railway stations have been selected at several points. , Tbe whole of the . sections fire covered with forest, the principal trees being tuws«., ritnu, hinau, l'ata, kahikalea, wilh totara m places; the undergrowth is, an a rule, heavy ; the general character of Uie soil is good, and m some places is of first-class quality, the formation being limestone, clay mml, sandstone, &c T!ie country is generally hilly and undulating, but there a r e large flats as weil as broken ground within Ihe area ; it is well watered, aud, as the climaie is also very favourable the land should, when cleared and brought into cultivation, prove well adapted for pastoral and, to some extent, agricultural purposes.
