PUBLIC MEETING.
■i :; A public meeting was held m the Town Hall last evening for the purpose of taking further action with reganl to getting- the junction of the Goraje Railway a t Pahnerston. His Worship the. Mayor occupied the chair, and referred to the petition which rhad fefcen sent : dbwn r to?%ell,ington and ,the prompt action Mr Macaruhur had taken _m the, matter by waiting on thie Ministry ; alTonco when he had heard of what was being done m Palmerston.
