TaurAnga, Oct. 10. The Chemical Manure Company has utilised tho White Island sulphur with great success, aud have made 20. tons, of sulphuric acid, including several tons pi oil of vitriol. The company are now making superphosphate manure.

DijnedinJ Oct. 10. The Divorce Court will hold ,a sitting next week, when P. W. Newman, ahd Eliza Newman and Alfred HodtJen for a rule nisi for dissolution ©f marriage will be heard. Tne petitioner was married to the respondent m 1865, and lived with her at Hawkesbury Bush till 1874, aud there were four children as the issue of the marriage. The .petitioner alleges that his wife then cohabited with the co-respondent, and has since resided^with him at Waimate/ :>
