{Special to the Standard,) [by cable.] London, August 24. Several of the Invincibles who were expelled from the colonies some time ago, are living m Vanda Oriental, Urumanay, South America. The French troopship Avergron, has been totally wrecked at the Cape of Gaudifire ; all on board were rescued. The New Zealand Land Corporation will pay their creditors m full, also returning £5 on paid-up shares. Sir Stafford Northcote and Lord Carnarvon .have addressed over 1000 Tories at Wakefield. It is reported that the French have captured the Chinese fleet, and also, that two boats belonging to the French were taken by the Chinese.
