Sudden Death.
. , Bobert Percy Stevens, son of Mr R.i Steven?, of Lower Eangitjkei, died ,'. .. suddenly on .Thursday evening. Deceased, who was seven years of age, appeared (says the Marton paper) to ;/be,in his usual health, and having ', Lad tea- went to beet at the "ordinary hour. Soon afterwards he was heard '■ ;>to^iuake a noise, and cough slightly, and as it was thought he was going •to liave- a., fit he wns putan a wariri bathaud subsequently taken to bed - Ikgain. .As he did not appear to im:.priOve; a messsnger was despatched : for.Pr Frood and to his mother (who \jraß tben m Bulis). The boy drank . .£ . sin all quantity of milk and died a ■", jevf minutes after the messenger had left. Some six months age the little was bad with the croup, aud there was also something the matter ' -wkh his head. He got well, though his illness left him i*ather weak. The y cause of death i« stated to be tli^e'a'se . o£ the brain, and it is, remarkable that he "was m full possession of his faculties up to the last minute.
