Kin^ PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY. 1. Ilandicaj) Hurdle Race of 25 soys. Nomiuatiou 1 soy, acceptance 1 soy, 2 miles, over 8 flights of hurdles 3ft 9in. To start at 11 a.m. sharp. . 2. Hack Hicrdle Race of 10 soys — Once round the course, post entries of 1 soy, weight not to be under 9 stone, open to all horses thai have never been onteied for any advertised race. Maiden Plate of 15 soys.— Entrance 30 shillings, weight for' age, distance 1£ miles, open to all horses that have never won public money, prior to date of entry, hack lacos excepted. Any horse entered for the above, winning a race between date of entry and race, to cany a penally of 51b. To start at 12.30 p.m. 4. Novel Race of 20 soys, once round the course, post entries of 1 soy, weight not to be less than 8 stone. For all horses ; which have been the boua fide property of residents wiihin the Borough boundary, since first day of January, 1884, and that have never been entered for an advertised race, hack races excepted. The winner of this race to become the property of the Stewards, and to be sold immediately after the race. Any other horse m the race may be claimed for the sum of £20, the said sum to be paid fc 0 the owner, and any further sum realised, to go to the funds of the meeting. To start at 1.15 p.m. 5. Palmerston Guineas. A Handicap of 50 Guineas. Nomination 1 guiuea, acceptance 2 guineas, distance, If miles. To start at 2.30 p.m. 6. Tmdemen's Purse 'of '5 " soys. Entrance 10s. Once round the course. Catch weig-hts. For bona fide business hacks, that . have been used m connection with the working of any business, within the Borough for 3 months prior to date of race. ° 7.
